Hostel Guardian

Position: Hostel Guardian (Full Time)

Reports to: Headteacher

Duration: Fixed-term two-year contract (with the possibility to extend, if mutually agreed) 

Remuneration: based on experience

The role of the Hostel Guardian is incredibly important to the running and success of the boarding House. Hostel Guardian is a component of the House team and the role involves significant responsibility. The Hostel guardian is an important role in maintaining a ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere and ensuring the health and happiness of the boarders. The Hostel Guardian role is constituted of two different functions:

  • Pastoral and Health Care

  • Housekeeping and House Administration

Competence in both areas will be equally important to the success of the role.

Teacher of Mathematics

Position: Teacher of Mathematics (Full Time)

Reports to: Lead teacher of Mathematics

Duration: Fixed-term two-year contract (with the possibility to extend, if mutually agreed) 

Remuneration: Based on experience

Our teachers are expected to secure success through setting high quality academic standards, and a commitment to student development and care. They will be crucial in helping our school develop a culture that promotes inspiredteaching and outstanding learning experiences. They are also expected to take a role in the development and use ofexisting and emerging learning resources to ensure the continuous improvement of the learning experience andoutcomes for students; and continuously monitor, evaluate and review the academic performance of the students andtake any and all action necessary to achieve successful outcomes. As most students are expected to go on to topuniversities in Africa and abroad, the post holder will be required to demonstrate strong academic knowledge up to,and beyond, ‘A’ Level Maths.

The successful applicant will help play a role in the design of school curriculum and school day.

Mathematics Teaching Assistant

Position: Mathematics Teaching Assistant (Full Time)

Reports to: Lead teacher of Mathematics

Duration: Fixed-term one-year contract (with the possibility to extend, if mutually agreed) 

Remuneration: Based on experience 

Start Date: Immediately

The Mathematics Teaching Assistant will work closely with the mathematics faculty to support the delivery of the Cambridge International Advanced Level curriculum. This is a 10-month accelerated program that aims to prepare students for success in STEM fields at the university level. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a love for the subject among our students.
